Art Portfolio

AP 2D Design Art Portfolio: A study on the effects of consumerism, overproduction, & waste in society. How does it affect people, places, and the environment?

  • A piece demonstrating the effects of food waste in society. Even citrus will eventually rot if disregarded and the constant wasteful decisions we make impact those living in poverty. Just like mold, our poor efforts of reducing food waste will spread and catch up to us in the end.

  • A fabric piece bringing light to fast fashion practices around the world and sweatshop conditions. Each aspect of a sweatshop worker’s life is being sown together to form their reality: poverty, overproduction, and pain. This works serves as a reminder for us all to question where our clothing really come from.

  • A piece done on wood that shows how our spending choices define our identities. My mother always has a cluster of receipts in her purse and I was thought about how her grocery store trips always produce some of the same produce. Whether we realize it or not, what we buy says a lot about who we are.

  • This piece focuses on how blind consumers can seem when it comes to how much waste they produce. The woman sleeping in the center is oblivious to the rats chewing on the cardboard surrounding her. The number one waste produced by households in cardboard. If we do not rethink packaging solutions, there will be more waste than people.

Digital Design: A collection of media & design projects that I have completed for clubs, organizations, and businesses.

  • I used a various pop of colors and design tools to create a shirt for Student Council’s NJASC Conference.

  • A design from the merch line I designed for a local fitness studio in New Jersey. I incorporated the brands existing colors to create bright typography and graphics.

  • A meeting idea and design that I created for DECA, showcasing a panel of business leaders with a “Ted Talk style” format.

  • I designed the crewneck for Chamber Orchestra, using sleek lettering and a cohesive design.

  • A dragon logo that I designed for my peer leadership group shirts.

  • A cover to the presentation i designed for a social media marketing class company analysis project. I incorporated Taco Bell’s color codes, logo, and menu items to create a strong brand presence.

  • I created a 3d model for my DECA innovation plan paper, presenting a drug detecting nail polish.

  • A newsletter I designed and distributed to students during their lunches so that all of the student body is up to date on events, clubs, and other important information.
